Draughtsman chairs have so efficiently filled the gap.  They allow for one to move easily within the workspace and are made to be easily adjustable so as to provide comfort. The benefits of draughtsman chairs cannot be overstated.

Draughtsman chairs are designed for maximum flexibility.  For instance, draughtsman chairs are fitted with an extended high pressure compressed gas lift so as to makes it possible for one to alter the height to an extended position above a standard office chair, providing the adaptability that makes it so attractive for the workplace.  If you are working on a high desk the ability to adjust the height is crucial to ensure that you do not strain your neck and back while sitting.

The chairs are also created to provide comfort to the user.  They have an excellent back support that makes it possible for one to sit at their chair for up to 8 hours, a quality that is on high demand in today’s competitive market.

Today’s chairs are designed to be ergonomic so as to prevent back aches.  Besides the back rest, some draughtsman chairs also provide armrests, lumbar support and also a foot rest all to ensure that the user has maximum comfort.

Polyurethane Factory Chairs

Polyurethane chairs and draughtsman chairs are typically used in factory, industrial and laboratory environments where a hard wearing and cleanable chair is required.

Consisting of a polyurethane seat and back, these chairs can easily be wiped clean or even steam cleaned to remove any dirt and bacteria.  The polyurethane is cushioned and not completely hard so they offer some comfort to the user.

We currently have 4 variations of polyurethane industrial chairs available as either a low factory chair or a draughtsman chair.

The Low factory chair is supplied with a 9″ gas lift and gives a seat height range of 420mm to 550mm.  This chair is available with glides (flat feet) or castors.

The draughtsman chair version is supplied with a 14″ gas lift which gives a seat height range of 540mm to 800mm.  This chair is also supplied with a chrome height adjustable footring which can be positioned at any point on the gas lift to support the user’s legs whilst seated at a higher position.  The draughtsman chair version is supplied with glides (flat feet) as standard but various types of castors are also available as additional options.  These include soft edge castors for use on hard floors, brake loaded castors which will allow the chair to be freely moved around when no weight is applied to the chair but then lock as soon as weight is applied.  Castors are added to draughtsman chairs at the customer’s own risk as this may contravene health and safety.

All of these chairs are supplied as standard with a 2 lever mechanism which allows seat height and back angle adjustments.  The back height can also be adjusted with the use of a hand wheel.  Options available on these chairs include a 3 lever mechanism which then allows the user to adjust the angle of the seat and also available are height adjustable arms for extra comfort and are generally dependant on the personal preference of the user.

The 4 variations of factory chairs available are the Bude, Bodmin, Polyurethane ESD and Deluxe Polyurethane ESD chairs.  Details of these chair models are as follows:

The basic model supplied as standard with a 2 lever mechanism, 9″ gas lift and castors.  Various options as mentioned above are available for this chair.  This is also available as a draughtsman chair with a 14″ gas lift and adjustable chrome footring.  Supplied as standard with glides (flat feet).  Suitable for various environments and applications.

 

Bodmin Polyurethane Chair

Bodmin Deluxe Polyurethane Chair
This version has a larger seat and back for additional comfort which also has a different moulded texture to the seat and back.  Also available as a draughtsman chair with a 14″ gas lift and chrome adjustable footring.  Available with the same options available as the Bude chair including various castor options and adjustable arms.

With the same style seat and back as the Bude but with a chrome base and chrome gas lift and with ESD castors.  This is also available with ESD glides, seat tilt and adjustable arms if required.  A draughtsman version of this chair is also available and is supplied with a chrome 14″ gas lift and a full chrome footring and supplied with glides as standard.  ESD castors are available as an optional extra and fitted at the customer’s own risk due to health and safety.

With the same style seat and back as the Bodmin Deluxe but with a chrome base, chrome gas lift and ESD castors.  This is also available with ESD glides, seat tilt and adjustable arms if required.  A draughtsman version of this chair is also available and supplied with a chrome 14″ gas lift and a full chrome footring, supplied with glides as standard and with ESD castors available as an optional extra and fitted at the customer’s own risk due to health and safety.
